Energy Efficiency Agency jointly with Finnish partners developing the concept of 'green' investment fund in Ukraine
The State Agency of Ukraine on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving together with the Nordic Environmental Finance Corporation (NEFCO) and experts from the Finland Ukraine Trust Fund is initiating the development of a concept for a new financial instrument in Ukraine - the Green Investment Fund (GIF UA), head of the agency Serhiy Savchuk has said.

 

€50M EIB loan to fund circular business models in the Netherlands


The European Investment Bank and Boels Rental have signed a €50 million loan agreement in Sittard, the Netherlands. The EIB loan to the project is backed by the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI), main pillar of the Investment Plan for Europe, also known as the Juncker Plan.

Georgia goes green: Kutaisi city launches factory for electric cars

In a first for the country (and in the South Caucasus region), the city will soon launch a factory plant for electric cars. A Georgian private company and a Chinese group (the largest electric car manufacturer in the world) will join forces to construct a production factory outside the city.

The project (which is supported by the Georgian government) will include a manufacturing plant. It will be followed by the construction of painting and welding facilities, as well as a factory for solar panels. The first electric cars will be manufactured in Georgia by 2020.
